Void *object pointer is not a pointer type

I’m beginner on pointers in C. I’m trying to implement a Function pointer which I want to be able to allocate memory dynamically.
I got a error on the (Void * object) :

Void * object is not a pointer type

I tried to cast the (void *) pointer into a pointer but it doesn’t work.
Here is my code :
typedef void (*func_t) ();

void * object;

void _Init (void *)
{
//…some initialization.

//If i return in this function the error can’t be found.

object = malloc(sizeof(void *));

func_t somefunc = (func_t) object;

void *method2;

method2 = (void *) somefunc;

somefunc();
}

error from compiler :

error: void *object; is not a pointer type

A:

Your allocation is wrong, it should be
void *object = malloc(sizeof(void *));

Instead of this:
void *object;

Because, if you don’t declare object of pointer type, then you can’t assign value of type void to pointer.
Refer to C Pointer FAQ for more.
Also, you can’t define a function like this (func_t somefunc = (func_t) object;). Why? because func_t is a pointer to a function.
