Store JSON or XML data in CouchDB

I have a situation where I need to persist data on couchdb. Since it’s data I want to be loaded back from couchdb again (to db.js script), I need it in JSON format. However, there are other scripts (db_select.js) that need to be in XML format.
Should I:

Store them both in the same database and do some mapping somehow to get JSON/XML back and forth?
Have multiple databases and just use the URL as the only difference?
Something else?

Which approach would be the best one to store data on CouchDB and get it back?


I think I would go with multiple databases. For example, you can have one document that has a key of type json or xml, and then have that document also store the string that you want to output.
To get a document out of CouchDB, use
