Multinstaller is a multi-language CD installer and a daemon that automatically creates bootable GNU/Linux CDs and USB sticks. With Multinstaller, you can write a complete multi-lingual software installation CD or USB stick from almost zero configurations. The installation is done with a powerful backend (VMWare, VirtualBox, KVM) which creates the required virtual machine image(s) and CD image(s) automatically. You specify the language to be used when installing the software, a data provider configuration file for Linux and BSD boot sources, and some hotkeys to make the process easier.
Multinstaller components can be mixed and matched in any way, permitting the user to create a wide range of CDs and USB sticks. Applications that are of interest to the GNU/Linux and BSD communities, and that are not easily met by a separate Linux or BSD installers, can be included in the same distribution. Multinstaller also offers a multilanguage version, which can be used for the translation of an installation CD into many languages.
Multinstaller Software Package and System Requirements:
Multinstaller is available as source code for GNU/Linux and BSD platforms, Debian packages for Debian GNU/Linux, Fink packages for macOS, and Windows programs for Windows. Multinstaller is designed to be used with VMWare, VirtualBox and KVM virtual machine programs. The GNU/Linux and BSD versions of Multinstaller and its command line interface support 64-bit instruction sets. You will need a text-based video terminal to view the user interface.

First of all thanks for the interesting review.
As I didn’t finish my master thesis last time around I have some news for this 0.2 release: I have already finished the translation to German and Italian. Now it is time for Polish.I just do the translation, no testing.
The plan is to have it completly ready at the next beta version, maybe it will even be the version 0.3.

– If you are currently using the “regular” Debian installer, this is a recommended upgrade. It uses a customized installation script and will save you from a lot of configuration.
– There is no longer a need to set the wacky user option or create configuration files in the hidden directory.
– If a proprietary installation script gets installed for instance, you can use the new on-screen menu to bypass it.
– Multinstaller detects automatically if your Debian installation is done as a “regular” installation, a “apt-get” installation, a “debootstrap” installation or a “sysinstall” installation. The installer will try to optimize the hard work you did previously.
