The web version of the Toolbar allows users to easily examine Web pages without having to manually access different aspects of the web pages. Once you activate the Toolbar using the magnifying glass icon on the bottom-left, you will have access to all the web based accessibility tools.
It also allows the usability of the page to be assessed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and WAI-ARIA 1.0, the level of contrast of the page against the background and relevant standards.
The web version of the Toolbar allows you to modify the options available within each web page. There are five different buttons available for each option. Once you click on an option on the toolbar, the button will turn green, allowing you to press to activate the option.
You can also preview the results of what your have just done.
The web version of the Toolbar allows you to edit the options to your liking. You can select the colour of the button, its size, the text font and background colour.
Once done you will need to confirm the action by pressing the button. You can also press Ctrl-magnify to view the options.
Selecting options:
Each toolbar button has 5 different selections which allow you to choose the options displayed on the web page.
To view the web page:
By default the page is active and a page preview will display. You can press Ctrl-magnify to view the options.
By clicking the magnifying glass icon on the bottom-left of the Toolbar, you can activate the web version of the Toolbar. In this state, you can view all the options available.
By clicking on a toolbar button the options will be displayed in a carousel. Each toolbar button is colour coded. Once you select an option, it will turn green.

The Web Accessibility Toolbar is supported on Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8, 9 and Firefox 3.6 or later. It is not supported on IE5.5 or earlier, or on Safari, Firefox and Chrome for Android.
Installation:
Please complete the one-time setup process and then close the page.
You can open the page again in the future, and your Web Accessibility Toolbar will be available from the options menu.
Your Web Accessibility Toolbar will contain the MyAET icon and a drop down menu which has access to the different features of the Toolbar.

1. The MyAET Icon
If you have not turned on the MyAET icon, it will open your Web Accessibility Toolbar.
If you click on the MyAET icon, the drop down menu will be displayed with the following options:

2. AIS Team developers can go to the “Web Accessibility Toolbar” help page to find information on how to ‘build’ the pages that are saved to the browser using XML.
You can also find out more about AIS’ relevant accessibility validation and encoding support by selecting “Web Accessibility Help” from the drop down list.
